Drop the Sports Drinks, Keep Off 10lbs
Ohh, no you might want to ditch the sport drinks during your fitness training, and on your off days. Research from the UTHealth School of Public Health, points to children and parents consuming more and more sports drinks, despite their high amounts of sugar and lack of nutritional value, said Nalini Ranjit, Ph.D, principal investigator and assistant professor of behavioral sciences at UTHealth.
Matter a fact according to Nalini, consumption of these beverages has the potential to increase weight gain. Drinking just one bottle of these beverages per day could lead to more than a 10-pound weight gain in a year.
Sadly, the finding actually put sports drinks into the same category as soda, ouch!
