GROUP FITNESS TRAINER

Job title: Group Fitness Trainer

Overview: To provide fitness training and coaching to assigned clients to ensure safety and facilitate performance towards their planned goals.  Candidate will instruct an outdoor bootcamp/group training. Typically class size 15+ clients

Specific functions:
Greet clients upon arrival
Review client worksheets
Discuss activities since last workout
Review upcoming workout
Coach client through workout
Remind client of next workout
Complete training worksheet
Review worksheets with supervisor
Make sure there are no surprises
Attend all meetings when requested

Reporting structure: Reports to assigned supervisor. Supervises no one.

Qualifications: High school graduate. Excellent verbal communications skills. Excellent listening skills. Adept at adjusting to people’s moods and personalities. Must have the emotional stamina to be at your best with each client. Experience in Circuit Training Program Design – Beginner to Advanced

Ideal candidate will have: 
Current Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Certification
Active CPR
Self Insured
Group Training Experience

How to handle client problems
What to do in case of emergency
Nutritional supplements
Chain of command
Expected behavior

Performance appraisal: Quarterly, semi-annual, annual
